This set was delivered today and is going back unopened tomorrow.
When I was finally able to see the manual, I discovered that something as simple as a headphone jack was not available.
A phone call to LG confirmed that this standard feature is absent on ALL 2009 LG TV sets!
That’s not quite true. In Europe, LG TV sets including this model come with headphone jacks. Why are they sold crippled in the USA?
People are asked to spend years with a set, never able to watch & listen without disturbing others in the household. If LG was cheap enough to omit this feature, I worried whether there might be other quality shortcuts.
Also, the manual strongly encourages screwing the stand to the furniture on which the TV will sit so as to avoid it tipping over forward (they even provide the screw). You get to choose between being unsafe or drilling into your furniture. Gee! But not LG.

GOT A CALL ON FRIDAY NOV. 2OTH AND RECEIVED TV ON SAT. MORNING AT 10 AM. NOW
THAT IS GREAT SERVICE. WE ARE NOT ELECTRONIC SMART SENIORS BUT HAD NO PROBLEM
SETTING IT UP. ENJOYED WATCHING JIMMY JOHNSON WIN NASCAR TODAY. THANKS AGAIN

We had a limited space in our entertainment center and needed a unit chosen more for size than quality, so we are satisfied with the results. We only regret not getting a slightly better Hz rating; would have prefered 240 instead of 120. But the experience with the seller was good. The product arrived fairly fast, it was as advertised, and when we needed to contact them they were very helpful on the phone. Kudos to this seller; we are very happy with the TV. I would not hesitate to do business with them again.

PIANO LOOK OF TV IS GREAT.THE WAY IT GIVES YOU THE OPTION TO BE ENERGY STAR IS 10 OF 10.OPTIONS AND EZ OF USED 9 OF 10.I COMPARE THIS TV TO OTHERS THAT I HAD 1080P TOSHIBA REGZA WAS BEST IN PICTURE I SEEN IN LCD /10-10 BUT SOUND WAS POOR.PROSCAN THAT I HAD WAS JUST POOR TV COMPARE TO PICTURE QUALATY OF TOSHIBA AND LG.I ALSO HAVE 37IN OLEVIA- GREAT TV IT HAS MORE OPTIONS IN VIEWING THAN THE TOSHIBA AND THE LG BECAUSE THIS TV HAS UP CONVERT OPTION BUT IS ONLY 72OP AND LOUDEST OF SOUND BUT IT IS THE BIGGEST IN VOLUME SIZE. BUT YES PICTURE QUALITY IN THE LG IS BETTER 108OP.OVER ALL I GIVE THIS TV -FOR PEOPLE THAT ARE PICKY- RATING OF 9/10.
