The TV might be great, but I never connected with the delivery service. As a devoted Amazon consumer, I was surprised by the way this was handled. Amazon just didn’t seem to care about whether the TV was returned or not. Think twice before you buy a TV from Amazon!

I could have got this TV elsewhere cheaper, but I purchased it from Amazon.com mainly because of their so-called white glove delivery service. What delivery service!? First of all they never called ahead to schedule a delivery time. Luckily, my wife was at home. Secondly, they or rather the delivery guy (only one, not two delivery men) just dumped the box in the living-room. What pissed me off even more was that when I called them up to complain, they maintained they did call and the reason why the box was left unopened was because my wife already signed the receipt when he was about to open the box. Huh? Funny thing is it happened that on that very same day I got delivery of a TV stand I bought from Crutchfield and it was handled by the same delivery service. The problem was they never called me for the stand either, I made the call and had it delivered between 12 and 5 PM. The guy showed up at 10 AM with both the stand and the TV, well outside of the agreed upon delivery window! Anyway, I guess that’s why they said they did make an appointment. But, it wasn’t for the TV, which I was complaining about to them. So, it was a totally terrible experience. Luckily, the beautiful TV had somewhat soothed my nerves at the end.

  4. Well By the Reviews I have seen I just ordered My Samsung 52″ 850 two days ago.

Now I need some help on this guys, First time having an HDTV ( current tv 50 inch sony plasma 7-8 years old)..

Wich HDMI cables are good. I heard Monster cables are over priced and alot of reviews state that there is no difference in quallity picture and sound between those expensive ones and cheap ones? I need them black between 6-10 Feet Long.

I Have a PS3 and a DVD with HDMI inputs. HDMI is new to me so i been doing my home work on reviews and such. But I wan’t to know how many HDMI cables I need and of what speed?

    Thanks in advance!

  5. the TV is very nice. I am not too happy though because right after I bought it, the price went down by $300.00. Amazon refused to give me the refund. it is Amazon policy. It does not make any sense. I have been trying to return the TV to Amazon for over a month because I was not too happy with Amazon refusing to give me a credit, but Amazon does not care f you return the TV or not. Word of advise, DO NOT buy TVs from Amazon because you won’t be able to return them.
